摘要: The mechanical behavior of twinned silicon carbide (SiC) nanowires under combined tension-torsion and compression-torsion is investigated using molecular dynamics simulations with an empirical potential. simulation results show that both the tensile failure stress buckling decrease tension-torsional compression-torsional strain, they increasing torsional rate loading. torsion has no effect on elastic properties SiC nanowires. collapse takes place in a twin stacking fault
