摘要: Hypoxia inducible factor 1α (HIF 1α) plays a major role in the pleitropic response observed secondary to hypoxic conditions tumors. Its expression tumor cells has been correlated aggressiveness and prognosis squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of esophagus Far Eastern population, but limited information is available on prognostic HIF SCC European population. This may help choosing appropriate therapeutic strategies possibly developing monoclonal antibody with potential targeting 1α. Tumor samples from 36 patients diagnosed were collected. Prepared tissue sections stained validated specific antibodies for was disease pattern survival. Out patients, 17 showed low 19 high There no difference disease-free overall survival between these two groups (P > 0.05, log rank test). Regression analysis that not an independent 0.05). did show value our study agreement previous studies. Novel manipulation cancer are be explored further have play improving treatment outcome.
