摘要: Belete forest is one of the very few remnant moist evergreen montane forests in Ethiopia. The objective this work was to study vegetation structure, composition and Natural regeneration status forest. To investigate plant community forest, line transects were laid down on longest transect starting from bottom valley top ridge. Sample quadrats 20m x20 m, 5m x 5m, 1m for trees, shrubs, sapling seedling, herbaceous layer respectively a nested form. sample along at distance 50m each other. A total 69 sampled. Vegetation classification performed using PC - ORD windows version 5.0. Five communities recognized. Results showed that 157 species representing families 135 genera recorded. These composed 31.2% Herbs, 28.7% Trees, 26.1% Shrubs, 5.7% Climbers, 5.1% Liana, 1.9% Epiphytic herbs, 1.3% Ferns. major Fabaceae Asteraceae represented by 10 (6.4%), followed Lamiaceae 9 (5.7%) Rubiaceae 6 (3.8%). Other thirty three consisting 19.8% only. Regeneration analyzed comparing saplings seedlings with matured trees. revealed good status. Planning management should be assisted research findings, such as detailed ecological studies relation various environmental factors. Keywords : Community Moist Evergreen Montane Forest, Regeneration.
