Topological time-series analysis of a string experiment and its synchronized model

摘要: We identify the template organizing chaotic dynamics of a vibrating string and show how to estimate topological parameter values directly from an experimental time series. call these data processing techniques ``topological time-series analysis.'' The motions are shown be governed by dissipative horseshoe map whose periodic orbit spectrum is, at level, well described unimodal interval. In addition, close agreement is demonstrated between synchronized model. empirical model allows us create ``synthetic data.'' Such synthetic may enable finer characterization system than that determined seed alone.
