摘要: Stem cells with the potential to give rise new neurons reside in different regions of adult rodents CNS, but vivo only hippocampal dentate gyrus and subventricular zone-olfactory bulb system are neurogenic under physiological condition. Comparative analyses have shown that vast species differences exist way mammalian brain is organized its capacity. Accordingly, we demonstrated recently that, rabbit brain, striking structural plasticity persists several cortical subcortical areas. Here, by using markers for immature mature neuronal glial cell types, endogenous exogenously administered cell-proliferation markers, intraventricular tracer injections coupled confocal analysis, three-dimensional reconstructions, vitro tissue cultures, demonstrate existence newly formed caudate nucleus normal, untreated, rabbit. Our results suggest neurogenesis a phenomenon independent from occurring adjacent zone, mostly attributable activity clusters proliferating located within parenchyma this nucleus. These originate chains neuroblasts ultimately differentiate into neurons, which represent small percentage total precursors. indicate striatum represents favorable environment genesis rather than survival neurons.
