摘要: ABSTRACT The Diffuse Neuroendocrine System is a newly defined third nervous system which appears to play an important role in body function. pineal gland has been recently appreciated as being part of this system. This communication attempts bring together supporting evidence for concept and speculate on the melatonin within System. Although contradictory ill fitting exists, there be general acceptance gland. Melatonin would have not only classical endocrine but also local perhaps neuromodulatory functions.
