摘要: An immunoblotting procedure is described which makes it possible to screen multiple blood samples for the presence of glycophorin and band 3 variant forms with altered electrophoretic mobility. The can be simplified by using whole red cell hemolysates instead membranes SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. use also has advantage that antigens sensitive proteolysis are not degraded in vitro. same nitrocellulose blots were used immunoenzymatic detection glycophorins a set anti-glycophorin monoclonal antibodies, autoradiographic 3-derived bands 125I-labeled anti-band antibody. screening 157 Caucasian revealed slower-migrating form seven cases one case. exhibited features hybrid B-A type.
