摘要: OBJECTIVE Remnant ablation with radioactive iodine (I-131) is a successful form of treatment that aims to destroy the remaining residual tissue and/or metastatic after total thyroidectomy in differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) patients. High level stimulating hormone (TSH) (≥30 mIU/L) recommended for success treatment. In this retrospective study, our aim was investigate whether TSH levels at time effect remnant ablation. METHODS Patients who were diagnosed DTC, treated bilateral total/near and referred I-131 included study. undetectable TSH-stimulated serum thyroglobulin (Tg) level, normal physical examination, negative results on whole body scan I-131, no evidence neck lymph node metastasis ultrasound defined as disease-free. The correlation between assessed. RESULTS Two hundred sixty one consecutive patients present Mean 19.47±6 mIU/L 34 <30 mIU/L, while mean 73.65±27 227 ≥30 during Ablation unsuccessful only patient had lung metastasis. 5.1% mIU/L. not significant (p=0.472). CONCLUSION conclusion, we think high alone factor Age, presence metastasis, extent mass should also be considered. Especially, tissue, obtaining adequate increase always possible. lower elevations may sufficient patients, long-term hypothyroidism required.
