摘要: The timing and synchrony of births roe deerCapreolus capreolus Linnaeus, 1758 population were examined for 7 consecutive years in northern Italy. From 1997 to 2003, 136 fawns, 65 females 71 males, from 117 litters captured. average date fawning (30th May) was constant among between sexes. onset parturition 19th May while the total length season 25 days (from 13th June). Births highly synchronous, with 80% occurring 17 days. Synchrony birth did not exhibit any significant interannual or intersexual variation. stability pattern confirmed by 13 radiocollared who all gave within 4 seasons. In agreement previous findings, our data support hypothesis that deer is constrained at both ends short time rut need match optimal climate conditions forage quality face late gestation lactation. All these factors result a relatively stable synchronous season.
