摘要: The temporal pattern of breeding in populations is often characterized by a pronounced clustering births, flowering or seed set. It has long been suspected that this phenomenon not caused climatic seasonality alone but reproductive synchrony represents strategy individuals adopt to maximize success. classical hypotheses predicting an adaptive advantage incorporate both sociobiological and ecological explanations. However, new theoretical empirical analyses have shown the predicted depends on setting which reproduce, processes earlier thought be responsible only for may under some conditions lead asynchronous reproduction being best strategy.
