摘要: Lipid peroxidation (LPO) was studied in lung tissues of patients with cancer (LC, n = 37) or nonlung (NLC, 13) and its relationships the smoking habits degree airway obstruction were investigated. Specimens peripheral parenchyma, free tumor tissue, taken malondialdehyde (MDA) content measured S-12 fractions. Airway assessed by flow-volume curves, data expressed as percentage predicted values. Cigarettes smoked pack-years. The LC NLC did not differ MDA content, age, number On contrary, FEF75-85 MEF75 significantly lower than (p less 0.05). inversely correlated to days had refrained from (r -0.66, p 0.001). higher recent smokers (ie, people during last 30 before surgery) other (0.136 +/- 0.007 vs 0.116 mumol/g 0.05) and, considering only smokers, (0.144 0.008 tissue) (0.113 0.014 mmol/g 0.059). When divided into "high MDA" "low groups, much high group (35.1 3.4 percent) low (55.1 8.1 0.01). These results suggest following: (1) enhanced level prooxidant state lungs is associated cigarette smoking; (2) may be more prone respective oxidative stress; (3) small differed between even though these groups smokers; (4) a common free-radical mediated pathway active for both obstruction.
