摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance Rosemary is a species used worldwide as common spice, but also in folk medicine for their therapeutic properties against abdominal pain. The rationale of this study was to examine the involvement triterpenes and compare effectiveness antinociceptive effect an ethanol extract Rosmarinus officinalis L. (Lamiaceae). Material methods Fractionation HPLC analyses allowed identification mixture micromeric (121 mg/g), oleanolic (64 mg/g) ursolic (83 mg/g) acids partial responsible ethyl acetate fraction R. by using acetic acid-induced constrictions model mice. Results These individually evaluated produced significant dose-dependent response with similar potency follows: ED 50 =1.1 mg/kg (0.9–1.3 mg/kg), 2.1 mg/kg (1.6–2.6 mg/kg) 1.6 mg/kg (1.1–2.1 mg/kg), respectively, intraperitoneal (i.p.) route administration Their maximal efficacy resembled that ketorolac (10 mg/kg, i.p.), clinic analgesic. Conclusion Our results provide evidence these participate activity . In addition, each individual triterpene showed observed ketorolac, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, experimental model.
