摘要: Transformation optics is widely associated with the design of unconventional electromagnetic devices, such as cloaks or concentrators. However, a wide range conventional optical devices potentially advantageous properties can be designed by transformation approach. For example, coordinate introduced that compresses region space, resulting in an overall decrease thickness instrument lens. The transformed lens, Fresnel reflection aberration profile, are equivalent to those original while lens and bounding material thinner than This approach flattening profile represents advantage over use higher dielectric because it does not introduce greater reflections require redesign basic optic. Though media generally anisotropic, both electric magnetic response, possible arrive at dielectric-only distribution for interacting transverse-magnetic (TM) polarized light. implemented using broad-band, low-loss metamaterials. Lens designs full implementation discussed confirmed via finite-element simulations.
