摘要: BACKGROUND/AIMS: Subclinical hepatic encephalopathy adversely affects daily functioning. The aim of this study was to determine which elements life have predictive value for subclinical encephalopathy. METHODS: performed in 179 outpatients with liver cirrhosis. diagnosed using psychometric tests normal values corrected age (Number Connection Test A and the Digit Symbol Test) automated analysis electroencephalogram (EEG). Daily functioning measured Sickness Impact Profile (SIP), a quality questionnaire, containing 136 statements. Patients without SHE were compared differences response all statements by univariate analysis, subsequently multivariate potential discriminating RESULTS: 48 patients (27%). Thirty-six significantly more often true Multivariate showed that five SIP, related alertness, sleep rest, fine motor skills work, independent power CONCLUSION: Combining these patient characteristics enables physicians assess probability individual cirrhotic at bedside or outpatient clinic.
