摘要: Potential acetylcholine receptor (AChR) mutants of the nematode are selectable by resistance to neurotoxic drug levamisole, a probable cholinergic agonist. To determine which may have achieved through loss levamisole function, we assayed mutant extracts for specific 3H-meta-aminolevamisole binding activity in presence and absence mecamylamine. We find that 3 7 genes associated with extreme obviously deficient saturable 3H-meta- aminolevamisole activity. Mutants 4 other abnormal activities fail undergo apparent allosteric activation caused Thus, all appear be required produce fully functional receptor. several only partial at least grossly normal activities.
