摘要: Abstract The present study highlights the cellular mechanism of resistance in human adenocarcinoma (Colo-205) cells against apoptosis induction by Rusvinoxidase, an l -amino acid oxidase purified from Russell's Viper venom (RVV). significantly lower cytotoxicity as well apoptotic activity Rusvinoxidase towards Colo-205 cells (compared to MCF-7 breast cancer cells) is correlated with depletion glutathione content and increased down-regulation catalase following treatment. Exposure subsequently diminished reactive oxygen species (ROS) production failed impair mitochondrial membrane potential, resulting Colo-205 cells. Further, higher expression levels caspase 8, compared 9, indicate that preferentially triggers extrinsic pathway A time-dependent ratio relative Bax Bcl-xL (pro- anti-apoptotic proteins) Colo-205 cells, our previous on MCF-7 cells, unambiguously supports a Rusvinoxidase-induced apoptosis.
