摘要: Abstract This paper explores the importance of a focus on fundamental goals resilience and adaptive capacity in governance uncertain fishery systems, particularly context climate change. Climate change interacts strongly with adds to inherent uncertainty those complex, interlinked systems. The reality these uncertainties linkages leads recognition need for robust management approaches order enhance system resilience. To this end, proposes stronger moves ‘integrative science’ methods processes – support suitable institutional responses, broader planning perspective, development resilience-building strategies. how synergies between integrative science can facilitate more effective fisheries policy approaches. Specifically, provide vehicle (1) examine options respect their robustness uncertainty, climate-related regime shifts (2) allow better assessments behavioral responses fish, humans institutions. argument is made that understanding aspects systems valuable even absence climate-induced change, but attention both reinforces for, facilitates move toward, implementation improved governance.
