摘要: A collection of 12 strains Streptococcus mitis were tested for their in vitro adhesion profiles and compared to those other within the sanguis group (SSG). The S. isolates from saliva isolated plaque gave significantly greater cell surface hydrophobicities ( P < 0.01) than sites. generally not aggregated by wherea s I II aggregation values over a wide range. Strains all species range saliva-coated hydroxyapatite (SHA), but dental adhered better SHA isolates. was related hydrophobicity or salivary aggregation. Strain pairs allowed interact with each assay. Homologous pairings usually reduced as did some non-homologous pairings, possibly result occupying similar receptors. Occasionally increased one member suggesting that certain SSG can modify pellicle facilitate strains. Most poor adherers buccal epithelial cells (BEC), although more adhesive 0.025) species/biotypes. Serological tests on antigens showed per cent reactivity antisera lipoteichoic acid 40 protein P1; neither case there correlation BEC saliva. likely coaggregate veillonella actinomyces strains, whereas tended representatives both genera.
