摘要: Very little is known about the structure and sequence of genomic DNA kDNA T. rangeli no highly polymorphic markers are known. In this paper, we show that Jeffreys’ multifocal probe 33.15 produces characteristic fingerprints with these trypanosomes. The multiband patterns can be used to differentiate cruzi from for recognizing relationships between strains latter widely different geographic areas hosts. topology a UPGMA phenetic tree constructed band-sharing data suggests existence two groups rangeli: one encompassing parasites Central America northern part South another southern Brazil. This splitting was confirmed by use both nuclear kinetoplast unique probes. Among rangeli, band sharing generally negatively correlated geographical distance. work confirms usefulness as potent technique analysis in trypanosomatid populations.
