摘要: Using nonradioactive hybridization, the human multilocus probe 33.15 was shown to recognize multiple minisatellite regions in nuclear DNA from Trypanosoma cruzi, producing complex banding patterns on Southern blots, typical of fingerprints. The fingerprints were stable and capable identifying different strains parasite. Individual clones Y strain showed patterns, demonstrating that is heterogeneous. In general, sensitivity specificity fingerprinting similar obtained with kinetoplast restriction analysis. However, it has advantages being technically simple studying rather than mitochondrial DNA. Thus, a useful new tool for characterization study cruzi.
