摘要: Objectively defined, benthic plant associations in the Puget Sound region are compared with recorded by other workers, this and areas. A shallow Laminaria association, an Agarum dominated at mid—depths a red algal association of Rhodoptilum, Callophyllis, hydroids near lower (17 to 20 m) limits distribution, described. Variation community composition similar depths is attributed mainly substrate differences. Algal structure shown be influenced variation season, depth water movement. The descriptive details obtained study provide basis for further inquiry into environmental conditions that define these under—sea associations. See full-text article JSTOR
