摘要: A detailed examination of the cervical canal in ewe was carried out. This analysis could be used to design new catheters for artificial insemination (AI) achieve deeper penetration and therefore better fertility results. Three hundred sixty-five cervices from four sheep breeds (Churra, Assaf, Merino, Castellana) obtained postmortem were used. Cervix morphometry depth using two types determined. conventional straight catheter ovine (IMV), a bent catheter, ending stainless steel needle, 9 cm length with an 8 mm tip 45 degrees , The results showed that cervix depends on breed age ewe. Churra shorter narrower, had higher number folds than those other breeds. Postmortem when longer wider, fewer (Merino Castellana breeds). In ageing ewes, tended become loose folds. decreased structural complexity significantly improved penetration. allowed greater IMV one.
