摘要: Strength, technique, and coordination are crucial to rowing performance, but external interventions such as foot-stretcher set-up can fine-tune technique optimise power output. For the same resultant force, raising height of foot-stretchers on a ergometer theoretically alters orientation force vector in favour horizontal component. This study modified heights examined their instantaneous effect foot forces technique. Ten male participants rowed at four an that measured handle stroke length, vertical forces. Rowers were instrumented with motion sensors measure ankle, knee, hip, lumbar-pelvic kinematics. Key effects increased included progressive reductions pelvis range motion. Raising did not increase component previously speculated. The reduced ability anteriorly rotate front may be key obstacle gaining benefits from raised heights. shows small changes athlete influence rowers must individually transfer through ergometer.
