摘要: The development of multicellular organisms is accompanied by gene expression changes in differentiating cells. Profiling stage-specific during may reveal important insights into sets that contributed to the morphological diversity across animal kingdom. We sequenced RNA-seq libraries throughout a developmental timecourse nematode Pristionchus pacificus. transcriptomes reflect early larval stages, adult worms including late larvae, and growth-arrested dauer larvae allowed identification developmentally regulated clusters. Our data reveals similar trends as previous transcriptome profiling represents first for P. Gene clusters characterizing stages show most significant enrichments chaperones, while collagens are significantly enriched worms. By combining with phylogenetic analysis, we found genes paralogous have arisen through lineage-specific duplications after split from Caenorhabditis elegans branch. propose represent plausible evolutionary mechanism increase dosage expression. Consequently, this contribute substantial divergence profiles has been observed larger time scales.
