摘要: The packing structures of macroporous ordered siliceous foams (MOSFs) are systematically investigated by using a 3D electron tomography technique and the nanostructural characteristics for layered MOSFs resolved. MOSF materials adopt an 2D hexagonal arrangement in single-layered areas, regular honeycomb patterns double-layered samples, polyhedric cells similar to Weaire-Phelan structure multilayered all following principle minimizing surface area, which is well understood soap at macroscopic scale. In surfactant-templated materials, liquid-crystal templating generally applied, but here it revealed that surface-area-minimization can also be facilitates design synthesis novel surfactant molecules as templates.
