摘要: Two main attempts have been suggested for the biological significance of endopolyploidy: (i) provision high DNA amounts to support synthetic demands in certain cells and (ii) compensation a lack nuclear species with small genomes. However, seed plants, positive correlation between content cell volume endopolyploid suggests other possibilities. Cell size paralleled by endopolyploidy level has an impact on growth development. Endopolyploidy levels turn are characteristic given even families, reflecting adaptation habitats during phylogeny. Furthermore, vary some degree individuals one response different environmental conditions. In addition, differs tissues that is advantageous function. This article reviews these findings discusses more conclusive possible functions endopolyploidy.
