摘要: Abstract The concept of sustainability, which is now well entrenched in the minerals industry, can be an effective driver for higher levels innovation. With industry venturing into riskier locations, new mining projects need to deliver both strong sustainability benefits while meeting necessary technical and financial requirements. Improved approaches recycling, resources conservation, energy water efficiency, greenhouse gas reduction, biodiversity, local enterprise development, community development programs all meet aims good practice require innovative techniques move away from ‘business as usual’ paradigm. This paper outlines recent developments on SUSOP opportunities risks framework, utilises Five Capitals model, provide a holistic approach delivering enhanced environmental, social outcomes projects. Case studies where this framework has been applied are discussed key emerging themes such better engagement with stakeholders, value creation enterprises, misperceptions costs related highlighted.
