Decision support frameworks and metrics for sustainable development of minerals and metals

摘要: The Australian government-supported Co-operative Research Centre for Sustainable Resource Processing (CSRP) has undertaken a comprehensive review of sustainability metrics and decision support frameworks used by the global mining/minerals/metals sector. This paper provides summary that larger review. In particular, attention is given to extent which plethora current tools approaches industry are similar; degree they conform with more formal making, as espoused management sciences community; how indicators are, or should be, set targets achieving sustainable outcomes from practices within industry. We cite experience six major companies sector examples practice. Finally, we suggest best practice be augmented additional tools, focus on information quality management.
