摘要: There are considerable challenges in developing new resource projects that meet the ideals of sustainability. The high-level principles corporate sustainability policies cannot be easily integrated into project management systems or everyday activities at operations. In addition, existing do not readily deliver innovative solutions needed to address key issues, such as significantly reduced carbon emissions, minimal environmental impacts, and maintaining societal licence operate. SUSOP® (SUStainable OPerations) is an approach for integration sustainable development design operation industrial processes, which being developed through Co-operative Research Centre Sustainable Resource Processing (CSRP). Somewhat analogous HAZOP (Hazard Operability Studies), aim produce a holistic, systematic rigorous set processes identifying, evaluating, implementing Development opportunities within organising architecture framework. This currently tested enhanced application ‘live’ case studies minerals industry. results applying selected elements these studies, both conceptual pre-feasibility phases, have led significant insights process identifying evaluating options enhancing operations contribution its long-term business case. This paper discusses need SUSOP®, presents outcomes from date with particular reference study learnings, highlights practical ways incorporating systems.
