摘要: We investigated the presence of a single-nucleotide polymorphism designated rs12979860 in interferon λ4 (IFNλ4) gene among 345 people who inject drugs (PWID) and 495 blood donors to evaluate associations between genotypes human immunodeficiency virus/hepatitis C virus (HIV/HCV). The rs12979860 TT genotype was over-represented HIV+ PWID than HIV- (16% vs 8% 10%, P = 0.03, respectively). with TT had approximately twice probability being (odds ratio [OR], 2.19; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.11 4.33) without TT. Every additional year intravenous drug use (IVDU) decreased OR 1.16 times (OR, 0.86; CI, 0.75 0.98). This suggests that increases susceptibility HIV this impact decreases increasing duration IVDU.
