摘要: Lithuania is a country with high incidence of tuberculosis (TB), despite coverage bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccination. Until now the only method used to detect latent TB infection was tuberculin skin test (TST). However, TST may have cross reactivity BCG vaccine and environmental mycobacteria. The aim this study conduct assessments diagnostic accuracy T-cell based (T SPOT TB) for in children who had previously been vaccinated compare these results TST. Between January 2005 February 2007, bacteriologically confirmed TB, having contacts case infectious pulmonary without any known risk were tested both T TB. tests positive all patients „culture-confirmed TB“ group. Whereas, „high group, 60%, but test, 17.8%. Meanwhile „low group 65.4% 9.6%, respectively. A correlation between obtained "culture-confirmed TB" where ≥15 mm (r = 0.35, p < 0.001). more objective than identifying vaccinated. This could be useful countries like there It also help avoid unnecessary chemoprophylaxis when reactions are false-positive.
