摘要: Paracetamol (acetaminophen) overdose is one of the most common causes acute liver injury in Western world. To improve patient care and reduce pressure on already stretched health providers new biomarkers are needed that identify or exclude soon after an paracetamol ingested. This review highlights current state poisoning management how novel could save healthcare money. Based widely used concept defining a target product profile, biomarker profile proposed identifies desirable acceptable key properties for development to enable improved treatment this population. The candidates, with hepatic specificity based fundamental mechanistic basis paracetamol-induced injury, reviewed their performance compared our profile.
