摘要: Osteoarthritis (OA) and osteoporosis (OP) are two skeletal disorders associated with joint structures. Occasionally, OA OP occur in the same patient. However, effect of changes on progression patients osteoporotic (OP-OA) has not been reported, especially potential association between subchondral bone articular cartilage. Thus we investigated alterations microstructure, biomechanical properties, remodeling as well their cartilage damage hip OP-OA. Thirty-nine femoral head specimens were obtained from who underwent total arthroplasty (OA group, n = 19; OP-OA 20), healthy cadaver donors used (control 10). The microstructure properties evaluated by micro-computed tomography micro-finite-element analysis. Histology, histomorphometric measurements, immunohistochemistry to assess damage. Linear regression analysis was performed elucidate relationship In compared that aberrant leads an inferior worsening potentially affecting transmission loading stress bone, then resulting accelerated results indicate could affect development improvement bone-metabolism agents may help mitigate when coexist patients. © 2019 American Society for Bone Mineral Research.
