摘要: Circulating lymphocytes of plasmacytoma-carrying BALB/c mice were found to lose their normal surface immunoglobulins; in place structures characteristic the specific plasmacytoma globulin demonstrated by immunocytoadhesion technique. These changes experimentally reproduced incubation with an RNA preparation obtained hot phenol extraction from excised plasmacytomas. treated RNAse was inactive, while DNAse or trypsin had no inactivating effect. Lymphocytes, killed heat KCN, underwent alteration receptors following tumor RNA. Plasmacytoma RNA, injected intraperitoneally into mice, also altered reactivity circulating lymphocytes. observations suggest possibility that this effect contributes functional impairment immune system disease.
