摘要: Chlamydiae traffic along microtubules to the microtubule organizing center (MTOC) establish an intracellular niche within host cell. Trafficking MTOC is dynein dependent although activating and cargo-linking function of dynactin complex supplanted by unknown chlamydial protein(s). We demonstrate that once localized MTOC, inclusion maintains a tight association with cellular centrosomes. This sustained through mitosis leads significant increase in supernumerary centrosomes, abnormal spindle poles, chromosomal segregation defects. Chlamydial infection thus can lead chromosome instability cells recover from infection.
