摘要: Abstract Eleven cyclodiene compounds, including the insecticides aldrin, dieldrin, heptachlor, and endrin, were compared as inducers of microsomal oxidases in a cyclodieneresistant strain housefly. All compounds except dihydroisodrin caused increases enzyme activity. The epoxide members group appeared to be more effective than their olefin precursors. Isodrin endrin at approximately 1 300 th dose other tested although neither compound enhanced activity much others group. maximum increase was 100% for aldrin about 30% isodrin endrin. There no additive effect when each combined with dieldrin induction treatments. In addition epoxidation hydroxylation, O-demethylation by Furthermore, DDT dehydrochlorinase, nonmicrosomal enzyme, increased 137% results indicate that within this there are some structural requirements but overall on is rather nonspecific.
