Environmental factors affecting tourists' experience in South African national parks

摘要: This study, the first of its kind involving South African National Parks, aimed to determine which environmental factors in these parks have a negative effect on tourists’ experience, and whether tourists who visit frequently are more aware impacts than those only occasionally. The findings will help inform Parks (SANParks) management about tourism how affect experience. Data was obtained from 451 questionnaires completed survey SANParks official website. A factor analysis identified five that had impact experience: pollution, product offering, park violation, management, impacts. An ANOVA test then conducted examine relationship between frequency visits their It found frequent visits, were perceived. These should develop strategies reduce nature-based experiences.   Key words: Tourist impact, ANOVA, analysis, national parks.
