摘要: Breeding for resistance to extremes of temperature and moisture in cool season food legumes is limited by the lack adequate screening techniques. The success each technique depends upon representativeness reproducibility type stress created. Descriptions successful techniques are presented frost terminal drought. Development new tests designed select specific adaptive traits require a better knowledge mechanisms these crops, especially Rooting depth, early vigor, reduced branching, osmotic adjustment discussed. Other drought, heat, freezing, or chilling have been proposed but need be studied jointly crop physiologists plant breeders.
