摘要: Aims: Although the characteristic of invasive pattern which contributes to Jass's classification is a sensitive prognostic marker in rectal cancer, reproducibility its assessment has been shown be problematic. As another histological parameter margin, we examined significance tumour 'budding' and attempted establish appropriate criteria. Methods results: A total 638 cancer specimens was examined. We defined as an isolated single cell or cluster composed fewer than five cells. divided these into two groups by their intensity, i.e. number foci within microscopic field ×250. Rectal with high-grade (≥10 field) observed 30.1% patients, associated lower 5-year survival rates (40.7%) patients low-grade (84.0%) (P < 0.0001). Based on multivariate analysis, selected significant independent variable, together nodes involved, extramural spread, lymphocytic infiltration, apical nodal involvement differentiation. Kappa coefficient two-graded intraobserver study 0.84. Conclusions: Because value indicator reproducibility, would good index estimate aggressiveness cancer.
