摘要: Phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI-3Ks) are enzymes that generate lipid second messenger molecules, resulting in the activation of multiple intracellular signalling cascades. These events regulate a broad array cellular responses including survival, activation, differentiation and proliferation now recognised to have key role number physiological pathophysiological processes lung. PI-3Ks contribute pathogenesis asthma by influencing airways smooth muscle recruitment eosinophils, affect balance between harmful protective pulmonary inflammation infection modulation granulocyte recruitment, apoptosis. In addition they also seem exert critical influence on malignant phenotype small cell lung cancer. PI-3K isoforms their downstream targets thus provide novel therapeutic for intervention spectrum respiratory diseases.
