Image versus Sound: A Comparison of Formal Feature Effects on Presence and Video Game Enjoyment

摘要: This study investigates the relative influence of two formal features video games—image quality and sound quality—on presence enjoyment. A 2 x between subjects experiment was conducted manipulating image (high definition vs. standard definition) (Dolby 5.1 surround Dolby stereo). Results indicated that, while had no effect on outcomes, almost universally impacted outcomes interest, including several dimensions Implications these findings are discussed.
