摘要: Persistent and mobile water contaminants are rapidly developing into a focal point of environmental chemistry chemical regulation. Their defining parameter that sets them apart from the majority regularly monitored regulated is their mobility in aquatic environment, which intrinsically tied to high polarity. This polarity, however, may have severe implications analytical process thus most polar these not be covered by widely utilized trace-analytical methods, thus, alternatives required. In this review, we infer physical properties set almost 1800 prioritized REACH chemicals discuss substance on four integral steps process: sampling sample storage, pre-treatment, separation detection. We examine application range limitations, highlight potential techniques horizon emphasize research areas believe still offer room for further improvement. While comprehensive methods cover large portion known chemicals, only infrequently utilized.
