摘要: A re-examination of the literature on factors which influence residential segregation in American cities emphasizes complexity involved generating patterns separation urban areas and necessity considering more than any single factor order to understand those patterns. In addition, recent on-going research transition, white flight, demographics school attendance area change further declining importance public overt private discrimination. Although discrimination has not been eliminated from society, it cannot be relied as a total unambiguous explanation for that we observe within metropolitan areas.
