摘要: Background: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sodium concentration increases during migraine attacks, and both CSF vitreous humor increase in the rat model. The Na,K-ATPase is a probable source of these fluxes. Since isoforms have different locations physiological roles, our objective was to establish which alpha are present at sites where homeostasis disrupted. Methods: Specific were identified tissues by immunohistochemistry blood-CSF barrier choroid plexus, blood-CSF-trigeminal meninges, blood-retina barrier, blood-aqueous ciliary body. Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), occludin, or von Willibrand factor (vWF) co-localized with identify trigeminal nociceptor fibers, tight junctions, capillary endothelial cells respectively. Results: alpha-2 isoform located on capillaries intensely nociceptive nerve fibers meningeal barrier. Alpha-1 3 lightly expressed but not capillaries. Alpha-2 barriers and, alpha-1, body blood aqueous Intense apical membrane alpha-1 associated moderate cytoplasmic expression plexus Conclusion: meningeal, retinal barriers. predominates meninges ganglion cell layer.
