摘要: Rapid detection is essential for timely initiation of medical post-exposure prophylactic measures in the event intentional release biological threat agents. We compared real-time PCR assay performance between Applied Biosystems 7300/7500 and RAZOR instruments specific causative agents anthrax, brucellosis, tularemia plague. Furthermore, an detecting Bacillus thuringiensis, a anthracis surrogate, was developed field-training purposes. Assay sensitivities B. anthracis, Brucella spp., Francisella tularensis Yersinia pestis were 10-100 fg target DNA per reaction, no significant difference observed instrument platforms. Specificity testing diagnostic panels with both platforms did not reveal any cross-reactivity other closely related bacteria. The duration thermocycling shorter, i.e. 40 min as 100 instruments. These assays provide rapid tools four assays, well training thuringiensis powder preparation analysis, may be utilized under field conditions training, respectively.
