摘要: Explorer 33 and 35 magnetometers, on the western eastern flanks of earth's bow shock, respectively, observed boundary concurrently between 0130 0430 UT, October 30, 1968. Contrasting shock structures were recorded. saw a quiet abrupt whereas an irregular noisy with much upstream wave activity. The interplanetary field was roughly in average archimedean spiral angle therefore approximately tangent to at normal 33. Gross motions variable tilting aberrated probably contributed peculiar sequence crossings two spacecraft. observations support model which perpendicular oblique collisionless coexist form nonuniform magnetosheath outer boundary.
