摘要: Abstract The effects of baicalein, a flavonoid, and α-tocopherol (vitamin E) on lipid peroxidation in rat forebrain homogenates. free radical scavenging action against diphenyl-p-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol acetate (TPA)-induced car edema mice were studied. Baicalein inhibited pcroxidation forcbrain homogenates, DPPH-induced TPA-induced ear as potently did quercetin nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA), lipoxygenase inhibitor, more than BW755C, mixed cyclooxygenase inhibitor. Lipid also by α-tocopherol. Flavonc showed no reaction. These results suggest that may play an important role the pathogenesis mice.
