摘要: We describe a method of measuring intestinal solute uptake that combines the virtues simplicity, good tissue viability as reflected in high rates, and reduction unstirred layers comparable to best reported for chambers. An everted sleeve intestine is mounted on grooved rod stationed immediately over stirring bar rotating at 1,200 rpm. The effect edge damage negligible. coefficient variation measurements 7%. For mouse andd-glucose concentrations an incubation time 1 min represents suitable compromise among several competing criteria.l-glucose used correct actived-glucose simultaneously adherent fluid passive uptake. technique's general utility illustrated by its application intestines four species representing classes vertebrates.
