摘要: Introduction: The ACGME requires that residents perform scholarly activities prior to graduation, but this is difficult complete and challenging support. We describe a residency research program, taking advantage of environmental change aligning resident faculty goals, become contributor departmental cultural development. Methods: A Scholar Quest (SQ), was developed as part an Information Mastery program. goal SQ for gain understanding activity through mentor-directed experience in original research. This curriculum facilitated by providing protected time didactics, seed grants statistical/staff evaluated total resident/faculty involvement before after implementation (PRE-SQ; 2003-2005 POST-SQ; 2007-2009). Results: Scholarly greater POST-SQ versus PRE-SQ (123 27) (p<0.05) with incidence rate ratio (IRR)=2.35. Resident also increased (22 98 residents; 10 39 faculty, p<0.05) IRR=2.87 2.69, respectively. Conclusion: Implementation program using department promoting longitudinal yielded involvement, well increase activity. [West J Emerg Med. 2014;15(3):299–305.]
