摘要: Medellin is the second largest city of Colombia with more than 2 million inhabitants according to latest census and 240,000 public private buildings. It located on an intermediate seismic hazard area zonation although no destructive earthquakes have occurred having as a consequence low risk awareness among its inhabitants. Using results fully probabilistic assessment building by resolution level considering dynamic soil response, average annual losses sectors well casualties other direct effects are obtained aggregated at county level. holistic evaluation module multi-hazard CAPRA platform, EvHo, comprehensive that considered social fragility lack or resilience performed making use set indicators objective capturing aggravating conditions initial physical impact. The urban index, USRi, which useful communicate decision-makers stakeholders besides easy identifying potential zones can be problematic in terms several dimensions vulnerability. This case study example how multidisciplinary research disaster reduction helps show analysis high relevance for decision-making processes management.
